Who am I?

I'm Alessandro, a vet with nearly a decade of clinical and surgical experience. I graduated in 2017 and spent years in practice noticing something that bothered me: the most painful moment for a family — saying goodbye — was also the most stressful.

A waiting room. Strangers. Bright lights. Nurses. A table. A muzzle. Other animals around. Chaos dressed up as care.

I watched owners arrive at the hardest decision of their lives and leave feeling worse. A pet struggling to walk, still eating, still present but tired. A dog who had stopped being a dog. An old cat with dementia, soiling inside, confused. A mass in the mouth or abdomen that couldn't be fixed. And instead of being heard, owners were met with scan options, blood tests, chemotherapy conversations, payment plans. I watched colleagues — myself included — keep animals alive longer than was kind, because that's what we were trained to do.

The owner's gut feeling is the most important clinical indicator there is. When they feel it's time, it usually is.

I learned to trust that. To honour it.

I developed my own protocol over years — refining the sedation, finding the least sensitive places on the body, eliminating nausea and distress. Years of surgery, IV placement and blood sampling have made me precise and confident. I find the vein. Every time. Animals don't feel the needle. They simply become calm, then peaceful, then gone. In your arms. At home.

No muzzle. No restraint. No strangers, no other animals, no bright lights, no table. Just you, your pet, and your home.

I won't pretend anyone does this the way I do. I've dedicated everything to getting it right.

Your pet deserves a good exit. Graceful. Dignified. Without fear.

I'll be there.
